Kids and AI

May 21 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Summer break is near! Come join a panel discussion about Kids and AI.

– What are some fun AI-powered activities that kids can safely do?
– Does AI help or hinder creativity?
– Can screen time set kids up for the AI-driven future?
– What are ways that family trips can go better with AI?

Our panelists will include:

Professionally, he owns a mobile app development company that specializes in creating apps for iPads and phones. His passion for technology carries over into the educational realm, where he is eager to share how AI can inspire and engage children
* Amelie Lim- She’s a second grader who loves to spend her screen time exploring fun creative tools for making designs and music. She’s a voracious reader who loves the Wings of Fire and Mysterious Benedict Society. She recently ran her first 5K and took first place among under 10 girls!
* Ella Tanibe – Ella is currently in high school. She’s often found with a paintbrush, painting portraitures and fantasy works, working on the garden at her house, or playing with her animals. She plans on going to college to study art and is interested in the intersection of art and tech, having done work in material design, and 3D printing. She reads a lot and her favorite place to shop is Barnes N Noble.
* Kevin Coyle – Kevin is a dad, data scientist, and data science educator. In his day job, he has been responsible for creating AI engines and deep learning models, and/or teaching topics in coding and data. At night and on weekends he spends his free time watching movies with his fam, hanging at the beach, and eating delicious cookies that are made by the talented bakers in the house.

* Kevin Lim (Moderator) – Kevin is the founder of Hawaii Tech Mentors and an avid learner of all things AI. He’s previously worked on speech models at Google and a YCombinator startup in the music space.

Join us at the Hub Coworking Hawaii for an enlightening session designed for adults and kids to skillfully navigate the ever evolving landscape of artificial intelligence (AI).
